Concussion
A concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) caused by an external force to the head. Concussion symptoms can include:
- Dizziness
- Blurred vision or light sensitivity
- Nausea or vomiting
- Headaches
- Fatigue or drowsiness
- Balance and coordination
- Anxiety, sadness, irritability or more emotional
- Neck pain or whiplash
- Difficulty concentrating, poor memory or confusion
- Sleep difficulties.
Most concussions recover within a few weeks; however, recovery may take longer depending on certain circumstances. Habit Health have a team of experts that can help with delayed concussion recovery through the ACC concussion service.

Acute Concussion Clinic
Habit Health’s Acute Concussion Clinic provides early support for sports players who have recently experienced a concussion. We can see you right away and will arrange for you to see a GP so that we can begin treatment fast.
Our team combines clinical guidance and physiotherapy to support you through each stage of recovery, from early assessment through to safe return to play.

- Clear stand-down advice following a concussion
- A structured recovery and rehabilitation plan
- Monitoring of symptoms during recovery
- A graduated return-to-sport progression
