ADHD Assessment
ADHD Assessment and support for living with ADHD
EAP Services is part of the Habit Health whānau, and through EAP Services we can now carry out a private Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessment to evaluate whether you meet the criteria of ADHD and to understand how ADHD symptoms may be impacting your daily life.
ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects focus, organisation, impulse control, and executive functioning. While it is often diagnosed in childhood, many adults may not realise they have ADHD until later in life, often after struggling with symptoms for years.
Our Senior Clinical Psychologist is qualified and experienced to assess your ADHD symptoms to ensure a thorough understanding of your unique challenges and strengths.
What should I expect during an assessment?
Initial screening (optional)
- An initial screening is optional and helps to identify key symptoms and determine if a comprehensive assessment is recommended.
3-hour comprehensive assessment includes
- A clinical interview
- Standardised questionnaires to evaluate ADHD symptoms
- Questions about your developmental history to gather information about your childhood
- In some cases additional evaluations such as cognitive testing or screening for co-occurring conditions (e.g. anxiety, depression) may be recommended.
The comprehensive assessment will help to
- Accurately screen, assess, and diagnose whether ADHD is present and identify its impact on your daily life.
- Differentiate ADHD symptoms from other conditions such as anxiety, depression, or learning difficulties.
- Provide an personalised report including coping strategies and recommendations.
Please note there is a cost for this service.
