Wheelchair and Seating and Postural Support Services

Our team of highly trained Wheelchair and Seating Therapists provide services for ACC funded clients and privately funded clients throughout the South Island. We provide assessments for all people regardless of age or ability. 

Services include:

• Wheelchair and seating prescription for people with traumatic brain injuries and spinal cord injuries.
• Review of current wheelchair equipment to prevent secondary issues. This may include pressure mapping, education and ergonomic review.
• Assessment for power mobility for all ages.
• Lying and seating postural management recommendations.
• Supporting people to access their community and home with beginner to advanced wheelchair training programmes.

To access ACC funded postural and seating services from Habit Health, you will need to request a referral from ACC.
