When Should You Book Physiotherapy?
Here are some tips for when you should book an appointment with us:
- If the pain you are experiencing feels worse when you try to move a body part this is called mechanical pain. Best Physio Dunedin provide the treatment for mechanical pain or mechanical restrictions. Does your hip hurt when you use stairs or lean in a certain direction but otherwise seems ok? Call us. Does it hurt to bend over or get out of a chair? Call us. It is highly likely we can completely solve this or at the very least, reduce it significantly.
- Is the pain you have increasing or recurring? We have heard many times, “I should have booked an appointment days (or weeks) ago!” We understand that sometimes you think you have a ‘little strain’ which will ‘sort itself out’. This can make a problem worse and cause issues to arise in other areas. Call us for an assessment and don’t run the risk of complicated damage.
- Do you have severe pain that is making you cautious about your next move? Make an appointment immediately. Our Dunedin physiotherapy will usually help you heal any severe pain located in the neck and back. A pain tablet may help ease the symptoms but the root cause will not be solved by a prescription from a GP. Make an appointment with one of our physios in Dunedin and get a long-term solution that doesn’t fill your body with drugs.
